Work on a recent site was going on for a long time. The assigned contractor had a lot of projects in hand and hence he was not able to give much time to this site. He was not getting the work done properly and not closing the project on time, due to this attitude the customer got very angry.
The customer wanted to enter the new house on a certain date, and we were not able to complete the work by then because there was some issue in the painter workmen’s family. The customer complained to the dealer and then told me that he will not go ahead with the work. 50% of the work was completed and 30% payment was left.
So since whatever I had said in terms of work was not getting done, he threatened me that he will not make the balance payment, and make sure my job is at risk and raise this complaint at the company level.
So, I called him to meet the dealer once and we sat and explained to him the issues/problems. After that, I went on the site every day, got the work done in front of me, took regular follow-ups, and got the work completed.
