Being transparent with the customer and learning on the job
I started work at a big lawyer’s house at Rewa.
The problem there was waterproofing and ‘termishield’ I got pest control done at their house but the main problem was waterproofing. He was not happy with any job done before. This was my first job in the painting sector.
I told him all the details about costing, what is the product, what is the number of coats involved, etc. I was transparent about everything and he was happy with the explanation.
My contractor also was very helpful in making me learn on this site. I learnt on that site how damp proofing is done – how cracks are filled – where roof tape is put and in which way – what is the inner and outer surface, etc.
Now it has been about 2.5 years, now I am able to tackle most problems that occur on the site – I am even able to check things on the phone and give suggestions. I ask for photos for sites that are really far away from me and give suggestions.
I am getting good reviews for being very engaged with the problems on the site – I even monitor the sites that have gone for TCS service.
