My first site became a big problem. It was a walk-in lead. The customer gave a 10 am appointment. I didn’t even know how to take measurements. I asked the contractor to come with me. He worked in Home Solutions for 15 years.
I forgot to inform the customer that I could not come by 10 am but I would be there by 10 30. Correctly, the customer calls at 10:05 am saying where are you, I am waiting for you. I called up the contractor – asked him – “brother where are you – the customer is calling like this” – contractor said “I can’t make it by that time”
As a result, the customer got upset and started shouting – ‘don’t come to my house – I don’t want to continue business with you and he put down the phone. After a few hours, I called the customer and apologized.
The next day, the contractor and I arranged an appointment again and landed up at his house and apologized once again – then after taking measurements, etc. – on the spot the customer was converted.
This was possible because of the contractor – he has a lot of knowledge because of 15 years of experience. We converted with 3 walls of Royale Play. The product was explained by me but the contractor took the measurements & explained the execution methods to the customer. I learned this from the contractor
After 2-3 sites, I went myself to the site and started taking measurements and began trying to convert sites on the spot. I learned all the execution elements from the contractor.
Today, even though there are 5 appointments in a day, I am able to handle all the parts myself – I give quotations, etc. on the same day of the appointment.
